Wendy Going
1992 Wendy Going has been in the truss industry professionally since 1992 and un-officially since she was 10. While attending the University of Lethbridge, Wendy was given the opportunity to work at her parent's family-run truss plant in Lethbridge as a junior design technician and as an administrative assistant.
1994 Wendy moved to Calgary and worked full time as a Design Technician at Timber Tech Truss Calgary Division.
2001 Wendy was awarded the TJXpert "Top Gun" award of excellence for Western Canada division.
2002 Wendy was appointed as the Senior Design Technician Supervisor for Timber-Tech Truss/Rona Engineered Floor division. She was in charge of one of Western Canada's largest engineering departments and distributors of engineered wood products.
2004 In the fall of 2004 Wendy, with two children and a desire to try something new, left her position with Timber Tech/Rona to start her own Architectural drafting and Design Consulting business Design Tech Services
2006 Wendy was approached by Timber-Tech Truss to build and operate the first 4x2 Truss Manufacturing plant in Canada. Wendy along with her excellent staff and experienced designers have been operating both Design Tech Services and Timber-Tech Floor Systems in their new plant north of High River since May 2007.
